Survivor Plane Crash Package
Could you rescue a crew who survived a plane crash in the wilderness?
Service Description
This 3-day adventure tour includes the history of a WW2 plane crash, CSI style crash site analysis, first aid training, rescue scenarios, orienteering, rock climbing training, canoe/kayak rafting, epic hikes and much more. Day 1 - School based - Teambuilding and Intro - expectations of staff and students (safety, behaviour, etc), FAQ's, programme of excursions, getting to know other SURVIVIOR team mates. - First aid - theory and practice of CPR, cuts, bleeds and broken bones. - History of WW2 B29 plane crash and CSI crash site analysis using drone footage and pictures. - Wilderness survival tips - practice of tent assembly, orienteering, compass and map reading. Day 2 - Rock climbing or bouldering (based on location and availability) - an indoor, group climbing session, included in the SURVIVOR package pricing, for 90 minutes, with qualified instructors. - Orienteering - the group is split into two, with a teacher assigned to each group, in a race to a finish point. Maps, compasses, checkpoints and clues along the way, with a prize for the winning group. - Canoeing or kayaking (based on location and availability) - a group session, included in the SURVIVOR package pricing, for 60 minutes, with qualified instructors. - Camping - students pitch their own tents, help cook on camping stoves, and relax for the night with their fellow SURVIVIOR camp mates. Day 3 - Rescue/CSI scenario - a three mile hike in The Peak District, encompassing all the first aid, orienteering and CSI skills students have learnt over the previous two days. - Celebration ceremony - back at school students are presented with certificates for becoming a PLANE CRASH SURVIVOR.
