Service Description
This 3-day adventure tour includes camping, first aid training, orienteering, rock climbing training, fitness boot camp, marksmanship training, epic hikes and much more. Day 1 - School based - Teambuilding activities and introduction - expectations of staff and students (safety, behaviour, etc), FAQ's, programme of excursions, getting to know other SURVIVIOR team mates. - First aid course - theory and practice of CPR, cuts, bleeds and broken bones. - Wilderness survival tips - practice of tent assembly, tracking, navigation and cover advice, orienteering, compass and map reading. Day 2 - Rock climbing or bouldering (based on location and availability) - a group climbing session, included in the SURVIVOR package pricing, for 90 minutes, with qualified instructors. - Marksmanship training/shooting range - a highly realistic laser shooting range, where different weapons can be used for safe target practice included in the SURVIVOR package pricing, for 90 minutes, with qualified instructors. - Orienteering - the group is split into two, with a teacher assigned to each group, in a race to a finish point. Maps, compasses, checkpoints and clues along the way, with a prize for the winning group. - Camping - students pitch their own tents, help cook on camping stoves, and relax for the night with their fellow SURVIVOR camp mates. Day 3 - Bootcamp/fitness test scenario - a 30 minute assault course or HIIT workout (based on location and availability) including burpees, push ups and a bleep test, followed by a one mile hike in The Peak District, encompassing all the first aid, tracking and orienteering skills students have learnt over the previous two days. - Celebration ceremony - back at school students are presented with certificates for becoming an SAS SURVIVOR.
